Frog concert Hladomer

Excursion (short field trip) will be held on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at the village Stara Lysa on the locality Hladomer (wetlands and pools Hladomer). Beginning at 20:00. Entry free.

On the locality there is a large population of the marsh frog (Pelophylax ridibundus), so it's almost a certainty that males will croak. Non-native fish species also live here. Tadpoles of the marsh frog are attacked by the topmouth gudgeon (Pseudorasbora parva). 80 percent of generation of tadpoles have affected mainly hind limbs and metamorphosed froglets are so without legs or without parts of legs.
